What we collect, why, and how to delete it.
Bastion Hale LLC (Dubai) runs bastionhale.com and the Distributor Index. This page says what we keep about you, in plain words. Last updated 23 October 2026.
What we collect
- Your email, when you type it in to see names in the Index or the free market finder, sign up for Market Watch, ask to be told when a market or an article is added, fill in the intake for a report you paid for, or claim a company profile, together with what you wrote in that form.
- The searches you type into the Index and the Market Finder: the device description, the markets and segments.
- Country and network information that Cloudflare, our host, adds to each request: the country, the network operator and the data centre that served you, plus a coarse browser family. We do not store your IP address. For abuse limits we keep a one way hash of it for a short time, usually about an hour.
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers.
Why
- To send you what you asked for: the names, the report, a one-off alert, or a reply to your claim. Market Watch only if you signed up for it or ticked its box; it is never added on its own.
- To improve the Index: which devices and markets people look for tells us what to build next.
- To protect the site from abuse, for example by limiting how many requests one network can send.
Who else sees it
Cloudflare hosts the site and the database. Our email tool sends the emails you asked for. When the AI reading of a search is switched on, the search text, never your email, goes to an AI model provider to be read. We do not sell personal data, rent it or share it for anyone's marketing.
How long we keep it
Up to 24 months from your last request, then it is deleted. A Market Watch subscription stays until you unsubscribe, which takes one click in any issue, or ask us to delete it below.
Company records, not people
The Index lists companies from public registries, not contact people: company names, addresses, roles and licences. A few sole traders are registered under their own name, as the registry publishes it. If you see a person's name anywhere on the site and want it removed, tell us through the form below and we remove it.
Delete my data
Enter the email you used. We remove it from our subscriber and request lists at once, and from our email tool within 30 days.

A question about your data, a name that should not be on the site, or a security issue you found on bastionhale.com: write to us here. We reply by email. For security reports, please give us a reasonable time to fix the issue before you share it.
